Zigbee Plus Card

The expansion slot is one of the most underutilized innovations in wireless modems. Expandable hardware platforms have the potential to deliver the functionality of a custom solution with the cost-effectiveness of an off the shelf modem. The ZigBee Plus card takes a cellular modem and turns it into a gateway.

The ZibBee Plus Card features the LS Research SiFlex high performance 900MHz module. It is an 802.15.4 radio that is a fast and easy way to add local wireless functionality such as Zigbee,6LoWPAN and FLEXConnect. It also provides extra I/O and extra processing power to any expandable platform such as the Maestro Heritage, Xact Trax and Sierra Wireless Fastrack Modems. These modems are designed to accept off-the-shelf cards like the Zigbee Plus card or custom designed cards.

Customizable.
The Card design provides a building block that can deliver support for other features important for your application with simple modifications instead of starting from scratch. With ClearConnex Engineering Services the design is easily adaptable to add any functionality. Custom design requests are welcome.

ClearComm compatible. Of course.
The ZigBee Plus Card has features that are supported by the ClearComm Platform, making starting ahead and getting to market faster even easier. Now your project can start with an off the shelf modem, customize it with one of ClearConnex's expansion cards, utilize ClearComm and connect it with any of the off the shelf servers that has already been integrated with ClearComm. Your project is nearly over before it has even started.

• JTAG
• Connected to modem using UART2

Extensible Devices
